In a sense, the BMW 1 Series M Coupé is a return to the past. This twin-turbo coupe with more than 335 hp reminds many BMW diehards of the early M cars, where low weight, small size and agile handling were the only things that mattered. Do we dare to improve such a focused, purpose-built machine? Yes we do.

At Akrapoviè we have developed different configurations for all tuning applications. The basis of all configurations is our Titanium Slip-On system. Using a single muffler, the Slip-On is modular in design. In basic mode, all exhaust gases flow through the main body of the muffler, giving you a deeper rumble of an exhaust note compared to stock without drone. In Europe, this system meets the TÜV standards for noise. However, the muffler system is built in such a way that by replacing a baffle plate with our Wireless Kit valve system, the driver can noticeably increase the volume of the exhaust at the touch of a button. Once activated, the majority of exhaust gases pass through the exhaust bypass outlets.

To complete each of the systems, we offer carbon fiber or titanium exhaust tips. Both versions feature a spherical mounting system to allow perfect alignment of all four points. The carbon fiber tips are made in our own manufacturing facility using "prepreg" cloth that is vacuum packed and autoclaved. The result is an attractive but extremely durable part.

The system reduces back pressure and is an excellent starting point for further engine tuning or turbo modifications. Even when installed on an otherwise standard vehicle, a gain of 5 hp and 5 Nm / 3 lbs-ft of torque is achieved. In addition, a weight reduction is achieved.
