    Product description

    The Fabspeed Long Tube Race Headers for the 718 4.0L cars ditch the factory catalytic converters and impressive power gains across the board. Our design process started with 3D scanning the entire exhaust system using our CREAFORM 700 HandySCAN so we could create a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. We then designed the exhaust and fittings with that model so that the exhaust fits perfectly according to OEM standards. After revisions for sound and dyno testing we decided to use 1 7/8 inch primary compared to the smaller 1 3/4 inch factory primary. The primaries are mandrel bent using a CAD designed model that allows us to achieve the optimal primary length and bends for the best flow and flushing at the collector. The flanges are thick 304 stainless steel that is CAD designed to perfectly match the cylinder heads and reuse the factory metal gaskets.

    SOUND:

    With PSE off, our Race Headers give a noticeable increase in exhaust volume with absolutely no drone in the cabin. With PSE on, that's when the "Race" in Long Tube Race Header comes into play. The 4.0L's exhaust note sounds much closer to a Porsche GT3 Cup car with that raw, flat 6 sound and sharp deceleration crackle. If race track rules require you to tone down your exhaust, we sell turndown tips that reduce 3-6db of exhaust SPL.

    ASSETS:

    These headers will add more strength than any other single bolt part. Significant gains are seen throughout the RPM band. On our DynoJet we saw +24 whp and 26 ft/lbs tq at 7,700 rpm and strong torque gains down low with gains of +26 ft/lbs tq at 2,600 rpm and 21 ft/lbs tq at 4,600 rpm. This is power you feel in the seat of your pants all the way to the redline.
