Originally developed for high-performance versions on the RS3 platform, we now bring this intake to the RSQ3. This inlet system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate while maintaining the lowest possible inlet temperatures. Every part is designed to give the turbo a smooth and free-flowing path. The intake tube has an internal diameter of 103mm or just over 4″ and has a smooth curve from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The filter itself is specifically designed for this inlet and has a huge outer diameter of 210mm or 8.3″ with a filter area of over 130,000mm^2. The patented Venturi housing is designed to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the space available in the RSQ3 engine bay and provides laminar flow to the turbo tube. Finally, the channel closes the filter opening to the front panel, but is not limited solely by the material entry. We lifted the front of the duct to now create an additional opening behind the hood, which equates to an additional 7″ diameter hole for the intake to draw from. The resulting system has the ability to flow 840 CFM at 28″ H2O while keeping inlet temperatures to a minimum thanks to its sealed design.
